Esempio di un nuovo modo di concepire il ruolo del colore applicato all’ele-
mento ceramico di design. Esito di uno studio di due anni per arrivare a svi-
luppare delle tonalità di colori opachi fino ad allora non presenti nel settore,
si contraddistingue per una particolare morbidezza al tatto che esalta la bel-
lezza estetica degli smalti stessi, con eccellenti caratteristiche di resistenza e
pulibilità. Cielo è inoltre riconosciuta per Extrà ceramic, la ceramica più sot-
tile al mondo con uno spessore di soli 5mm, frutto del forte orientamento
verso la ricerca che da sempre connota il DNA dell’azienda. Resa possibile
dall’uso di materie prime esclusive e da lavorazioni artigianali uniche, Extrà
ceramic esalta il design leggero e raffinato dei prodotti, riducendone il peso
a vantaggio di una maggiore manovrabilità in fase di lavorazione e trasporto.

Colour is our attitude – Experimentation with colour is one of Cielo’s distincti-
ve features. The Company’s trademark colour palette "Le Terre di Cielo"and
"Le Acque di Cielo", the exclusive colour range that has made it known worl-
dwide with 22 inimitable shades. An example of a new way of conceiving the
role of colour applied to the ceramic design element. The result of a two-year
study to develop opaque shades of colour not previously present in the sector,
it is distinguished by its particular softness to the touch that enhances the
aesthetic beauty of the glazes themselves with excellent resistance and cleana-
bility characteristics. Cielo is also recognised for Extrà ceramic, the thinnest
ceramic in the world with a thickness of only 5mm, the result of the strong
orientation towards research that has always characterised the DNA of the
company. Made possible by the use of exclusive raw materials and unique
craftsmanship, Extrà ceramic enhances the light and refined design of the
products, reducing their weight to the advantage of greater manoeuvrability
during processing and transport.
